LC0 LAB - SOFTWARE ENGINEERING - PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES

The Software Engineering and Programming Languages Lab (LC0) is equiped with the latest generation of computers, having 16 Pentiun IV Dual Core units with TFT 19'' displays, connected to the Internet through a LAN wireless network. Also included are a retroprojector, a videoprojector and a laptop.
The lab is destined for hosting the classes, laboratories, seminars and projects as: Programming languages, Program Engineering, Informational Systems Design and Management, Computer Programming, Object-Oriented Programming and Algorithms Programming, with a capacity of 60 persons.
This lab is also designed for hosting the diploma projects, PhDs reports and as a conference room for university organized symposiums.


LC1 LAB - COMPUTER NETWORKS - MULTIMEDIA SYSTEMS - FUZZY LOGIC SYSTEMS

The "Computer Networks, multimedia systems and fuzzy logic systems" lab has the latest generation of equipments including 7 Pentium IV DualCore computers with 17'' TFT monitors, software and equipment from National Instruments and Lucas-Nulle UNItrain that allow students to learn using various CAD tools. The classes that take place in this laboratory are mainly hands-on labs that use specialized software.
This lab is used for practical applications, seminaries and projects on the following subjects: Computer networks, Designing computer networks, Multimedia systems, Fuzzy logic systems, Advanced techniques in computer networks and can host 25 students at a time.


LC2 LAB - COMPUTER ARCHITECTURE

This lab is used for practical applications, seminaries and projects on the following courses: Computer Architecture, Numeric Calculators, Parallel Architectures and Computer System Architecture. The lab has 18 seats. The lab also has equipment consisting of several different types of computers and several lab stands.


LC3 LAB - ALGHORITM DESIGN

The "Algorithm design" lab (LC3) is one of the newest labs of the automatics department. It has latest generation equipment containing of: 8 Pentium4 Dual Core PCs with 17’’ TFT displays, a Toshiba smart board used for simulations purposes and an dSPACE equipment used for rapid prototyping and process control.
The lab is destined for hosting the classes, laboratories, seminars and projects for the following courses: Systems theory I and II and Algorithm design.
The lab has a capacity of 20 persons.

LA1 LAB - MICROPROCESSORS, ANALOG AND DIGITAL ELECTRONICS

The Microprocessors, Analog and digital electronics lab has modern equipment includding 5 Pentium IV DualCode computers with 17'', testing equipment, CAD tools from National Instruments and Lucas-Nulle.
The lab is used for the study of electronics and also to create practical applications and projects in the following fields: Digital electronics, Logic design, Numeric circuits, Electronic devices and circuits and can host 15 students.

LA3 LAB - SYSTEMS FOR ROBOT CONTROL

The “LA3” Laboratory has like main purpose the study of integrated manufacturing systems. The endowment of this laboratory consists of a number of 3 industrial robots, a CNC horizontal lay with 3 motion axes, 2 conveyer belts transport system, a visual inspection system and 4 programmable logic controllers intended for controlling the entire systems. The programmable logic controllers are intended also for communication with a superior hierarchical level. Also in the endowment of this laboratory are included a number of 8 Pentium IV, Intel Computers destined for computer integrated systems designing, simulation, programming, controlling and interfacing methodologies.


LA4 LAB - SENSORS AND TRANSDUCERS - DATA ACQUISITION

The “SENSORS, TRANSDUCERS AND DATA ACQUISITONS” Lab (LA4) has modern equipment consisting of 5 Pentium IV DualCore Computers with 17'' TFT displays, National Instruments equipment and software, which allow us to study the behavior of sensors and transducers, and also data acquisition systems. The lab is destined for hosting the classes, laboratories and projects for the following: Sensors and transducers, Intelligent systems for data acquisition and processing, Digital and analog electronics, Numeric circuits, with a capacity of 15 students.


LA5 LAB - ELECTRIC MEASUREMENTS

The Electric measurements lab is equiped with 2 computers, measurement devices and a magnetic inductance coil. The lab is used by the students for electric and electronic measurements, power measurements in DC circuits and AC monophase circuits, active power measurements in AC triphase circuits using the 2 wattmeter method, reactive power measurements. The lab can host 15 students at a time.


LA6 LAB - MICROCONTROLLERS AND PLC

The Microcontrollers and PLC lab is used to create practical applications and projects in the field of Microcontrollers and PLC. This lab is equiped with 6 Pentium IV computers linked to a wireless LAN network. The lab is also equiped with motors, inverters, lab stands containing 4, 8, 16 and 32 bit microcontrollers, lab stands containing PLCs made by Siemens, Omron, Moeller. The lab applications are made through experiments using electric actuators, invertors, servomotors. The lab can host 15 students.


LA7 LAB - EXPERT SYSTEMS, ARTIFICIAL INTELIGENCE, INPUT OUTPUT SYSTEMS AND ROBOTICS

The Expert systems and Artificial intelligence lab has 10 Pentium IV DualCore computers with 17'' monitors and it also an internet connection. The lab equipment also includes the following types of robots: Robotic Arm OWI 535 si 007, the CCRP5 mobile robot and LYNX R305. The lab is used to create practical applications in the fields of expert systems, artificial intelligence and input output systems, 3D graphics and robotics. The lab can host 20 students at a time.
